ABOUT US

Grahame is actually an Ordained Minister with Trinity Evangelical Church Ministries. For several years he was also a Pastor with The Elim Pentecostal Church, England and led a church with his wife Hazel, in Weymouth. He has a passion to preach the Word of God.
He became a Christian in 1980 - a dramatic conversion where he was healed from a condition known as Bell’s Palsy. From thereon, Grahame had a desire to be in front line Christian ministry.
In 1990 Grahame became very ill and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis - a bowel condition. For 10 years, Grahame suffered this debilitating disease, coping on a daily basis with the devastating symptoms that UC brings. He was on regular daily medication, including steroids. Despite being a Christian and believing in divine healing, Grahame had to have major surgery in 2000 and the result was a permanent ileostomy. Grahame struggled with the fact that He was not healed from this. However, whilst still in hospital, he did receive a miracle from God. Grahame had been losing weight rapidly following the operation. After 10 days he was still on ‘nil by mouth’ because he just could not keep anything down that he either ate or drank. Weak and still bedridden, Grahame actually felt that he was slipping away. Even his son, following a hospital visit, thought that his dad would not come out of the hospital alive. However, just before Hazel went home, she anointed him with oil and prayed for him. She then left for home.

Grahame began to drift off to sleep. However before he did, he noticed a jug of iced water on the bedside table. He hadn’t drunk very much over the past week or so and he had a raging thirst. However, he knew the consequences if he did. Instead he dipped his finger in the water and wiped it on his forehead. He had never been one for symbolism but he decided to make the sign of the cross. He then sank down into the bed. Just before he went to sleep in exhaustion, he asked Jesus to please help him. Grahame awoke about 2 hours later and he felt different. The physiotherapist was wanting him to get up and go for a short walk. He had the strength to do this. Within a day, he was up and walking all over the hospital. God had performed a miracle and healed Grahame.
Grahame has made a major recovery since those days and now spends his time reaching out to other people who find they are in a similar situation and find they need to have stoma surgery. Grahame knows that there is a way forward through all of the trauma of it all. In setting up
StomaCare he has created this website for the purpose of helping other people who find themselves in this predicament.
Grahame has written a book about his experience with Ulcerative Colitis and subsequent surgery, called
ALL BAGGED UP.
